Walsall Council has increased its enforcement activity in early 2026 as part of ongoing efforts to tackle environmental crime, including littering and fly-tipping.
The approach includes the use of CCTV, targeted patrols and legal action where necessary, aimed at deterring offences and improving the local environment. Additional resources have been introduced following recent investment in enforcement services.
Figures from recent months show a rise in the number of fines issued and paid for littering offences, alongside an increase in cases being taken to court where penalties have not been settled.
The council has also continued to carry out investigations into fly-tipping incidents, working to identify those responsible and take appropriate action.
