Parks and Green Spaces Come Back to Life Across Walsall This Spring

Walsall’s parks and green spaces are coming back to life as spring arrives, with residents encouraged to make the most of outdoor spaces across the borough.

Following a winter period of maintenance and improvement work, many parks are now ready to welcome visitors, with refreshed landscaping, improved pathways and upgraded play areas in place.

As the weather begins to improve, local parks are expected to see a rise in visitors, with families, walkers and community groups returning to enjoy the longer days and warmer temperatures.

A number of activities are also being planned throughout the spring, including guided nature walks, volunteer sessions and family-friendly events designed to help people connect with the outdoors.

Council teams say parks play a vital role in supporting both physical and mental wellbeing, offering accessible spaces for exercise, relaxation and social interaction.

Residents are also being encouraged to take part in local volunteering opportunities, including conservation work and community gardening projects, helping to maintain and enhance these spaces for future generations.
